Originally developed to study metabolic disorders and insulin resistance , 5-Amino-1MQ has now gained attention in fitness and longevity circles for its ability to: → Reduce fat cell size → Increase NAD⁺ levels (critical for energy and mitochondrial function) → Enhance insulin sensitivity and metabolic efficiency When NNMT is overactive — as is often the case with obesity, aging, and chronic disease — it limits the availability of nicotinamide and reduces NAD⁺ production
Research community discussions most often use 50 to 150 mg by mouth each day, while subcutaneous examples use much smaller amounts
